What's New:

This version of Solytare, originally by Michael Pearce, and then ported
to other calc platforms by Ahmed El-Helw, is now for the shell ION for
the TI-83/83+. I (Jason_K), couldn't wait for more ION programs to come
out, so I took it upon myself to port this to the newest shell for the
83/83+. I am inserting this paragraph about my port to ION, but I leave
the rest of the documentation as taken from Ahmed's port to SOS. Mostly
everything below is from him (spoken in first person a lot), but I have
changed his E-Mail address above, & the link to his website below, which
had been both changed since the release of his SOS port of this program.
I thank Michael Pearce a lot for making this program first of all, and
I also thank Ahmed a lot for his original port, since very few alterations
had to be made by myself, and it took me only about 20 minutes to do. =P
Remember to visit the TCPA's website, which is the programming group I am
a part of during this release of the ION version. The address to our site
is "http://tcpa.calc.org/", and look forward to more ION ports from us in
   the future... =)

What's New:

I have finished a version of solytare, originally created for the ti85,
ported to the ti86 and now on to the ti83. Not too difficult of a
port except for the 83's smaller screen and crappy video. Unluckily, i
couldn't get an acceptable screen darkness with the mouse moving only
one pixel at a time. The mouse moves incrementally faster as you hold
down an arrow key longer. It feels kinda bad, i know, but i am never
going to play this game since i don't have an 82 :) .
---No Longer! I, Evil Sam, have fixed this bad speed problem! I
even saved a few bytes in the process!

And I, Ahmed, have set up a web page for my games :) It can be found at
http://ahmed.ticalc.org/ so check it out if you want. Fortunatley, most
every link is good, maybe this will change in the future, maybe not :)

Description:

Here is my first completed game! woohoo! Good ol' solitaire.
Have you played solitaire for windows? Well, me too! In fact,
many people have bought computers just to play that damned solitaire
game. It's true! (So if i some how saved you $1000+ because you
   don't need to buy a computer anymore, send the money to me instead :) ;
email me for details! ) Anyways, the play of my game is pretty close to
solitaire for windows. All you have to do is build the I2C mouse
adapter for your calculator, and you are ready to play (or just use
the arrow keys if you don't want to be carrying around a mouse).
You should be able to figure it out. You *CAN* do it! I believe in you!
I have made the source code available. If you wish to do something
bizarre (or not so bizarre) with the source, please email me first! (I
seriously considered displaying a subliminal message, but decided not to.)
If anyone is interested, i am thinking about starting over with
Solomon's Key. If you have never tried it, it's available at ticalc.org.
Oh, now i have started over on it (as of version 2.0 of Solytare). My
goal, like everyone else's, is to make a game that is more popular than
Jimmy Mrdell's. Wish me luck on that one :/ . And as of version 2.2,
i am getting *almost* back to where i was on the solomon's key for ZShell.
I would expect to see something after school lets out for the fall
semester and i have a little bit more time to devote.

Keys:

Pretend the cursor arrows are a mouse. i know, it seems unimaginable,
     but give it a whirl.
The 2ND key is like a mouse "button". Not the kind of button that you
have on a shirt, but ... well, you can figure it out. Drag the card.
The + and - key will change the spacing of the cards. No need for
     those pesky bifocals!
Del - bring up the options menu. Then use 1, 2 and 3.
  Mode/Clear - exit the game
Enter - used under misc. circumstances. you figure it out!

Future Additions:
X Hold down Alpha key to make the cursor only move one pixel at a time.
X Add scoring. I always play "Vegas Style" in Windows (don't worry,
i'm 21) so i may add scoring like this.
X Anything else *YOU* want? (who cares what you want?? :) )

Future Subtractions:
X Make it smaller? - i doubt it. (nope, it only gets bigger.)

Symbol Key:
X - never mind, i'm not going to do this. I think i am done programming it.

Thanks to:

Ti-83:
Ahmed El-Helw for the 83 port!
Joe Wingerbermuhle for fixing FIND_PIXEL and for the new cards
BlackBelt and his family for beta testing

Ti-82:
Sam Heald(evil_sam@hotmail.com) for speeding up the game!
Bryan Rabeler for requesting it to be sped up :)
Matt Stack and Ilya Winham on A82 for helping answer some quick questions
Jimmy Mrdell - Great Zshell school... great random number routine... and now
   great port to the 86.
Sam Davies - For *not* making a debugger for Usgard 1.0... this is what
made me start on a new project - solitaire.
Ben Sferrazza - For having a name with an 's' followed by an 'f'. damn is
that cool. And you made a good damn shell, i guess.
Usgard Team - Great job bring the size of the shell back down to earth :)
Thanks to anyone else who plays my game *and* skateboards. (The logo on the
cards is supposed to be like the ZERO bird logo. It looks even worse on
the 82 than it did on the 85 and 86.
