What is Socrates?
-----------------
Socrates is an application for the TI83+ which keeps track of your
marks on the your calc. It is designed for maximum versatility and
ease of use. It separates marks into subjects and categories within
those subjects, and supports three different averaging types. Later
I might decide to implement plotting of marks over time or by
frequency, but that's not done yet.

The name Socrates itself was chosen for no particular reason. I was
exploring the idea that I could use an acronym for the name of the
app (example: Climate = Categorized List for Interactive Mark and
Average Tracking and Evaluation), and the name Socrates popped up.
I couldn't think of a good acronym that fit the name, but I liked
the name so much that it stuck.

Installation
------------
In order to install Socrates, simply send Socrates.8xk to your
calculator. This can be done in various ways, depending on your
linking program. If you have Ti-Connect, simply right-click the
file and choose "Send To" then "Connected TI Device." In the Graph
Link program, under the link menu choose "Send Flash Software" then
"Applications and Certificates" and follow the dialogs. I don't know
how to use TILP, but I assume that those who use it probably do.

	Just a marks listing
	Three averaging types

Known Issues
------------
I don't know of anything at the moment... Perhaps if you're using
the equation variable Y11 for something it'll screw up, but what are
the odds of that?

Legal Stuff
-----------
Since you did not pay me anything for the right to use this software, there
is no warranty of any kind. This software has been tested, and at the time
of release the author was not aware of any serious problems with it.
However, there is still a possibility of unforeseen problems. If you do
encounter any problems with this program, please inform me as soon as
possible (of course, I cannot guarantee that I will fix such problems). Also
be aware that such problems may not actually be this software's fault, as
this software is intended to interact with other software which may be the
source of the problems.

This software is in the public domain, which means that it is not copyrighted
at all. Thus you may use, copy, or modify it any way you want. However, such
modifications are not encouraged, as they leave open the potential to break
compatability. So instead of modifying it yourself, send an email my way, and
I might change it for you, possibly including your suggestion if I think it
is good enough and suits the goal of the software.
